Now Enrolling for 2012–13

Broadway is currently enrolling students for Fall 2012. The Mandarin Immersion Program is accepting enrollment packets for Kindergarten and 1st Grade. No prior knowledge of Mandarin is required. Enrollment is also immediately available for Broadway's K–5 English Program.

Title I Academic Achievement Award

Broadway is proud to be the only school in Local District 3, and one of nine LAUSD schools to receive the Title I Academic Achievement Award this year. The California Department of Education honored 117 California schools with this award on May 3, 2012. As the qualification criteria become more rigorous each year, fewer schools meet the targets to receive the award. Broadway students and staff deserve this high honor for their hard work.

Broadway Teaching Positions
Now Available

Teaching positions for the 2012–13 school year are currently available at Broadway Elementary School for the English component of our expanding Dual Language Mandarin Immersion Program. Fluency in Mandarin is NOT required.

All interested candidates must be current teachers from within LAUSD. Candidates must also be enthusiastic, creative, nurturing, have prior elementary school teaching experience, and be good team players.

at L.A. School

Broadway Elementary in Venice launched the effort to boost enrollment. The plan worked so well the principal is concerned that dual-language learners will outnumber students in regular classes.
